RainMAP — Rainfall Reconstruction & Hydrological Coherence

RainMAP™ is a private climate-intelligence system for interpreting rainfall regime structure, volatility, and planning windows.

It provides confidence-banded rainfall context (not deterministic forecasts, not raw datasets) to support earlier planning, exposure management, and seasonal posture.

What RainMAP™ Provides

RainMAP™ delivers:

  • Rainfall regime classification
  • (wet / neutral / dry posture with explicit stability vs instability context)
  • Confidence-weighted rainfall planning windows
  • Monthly timing windows with quarterly horizon bands, each expressed with low / moderate / high confidence
  • Indicative rainfall intensity bands
  • Qualitative rainfall behaviour categories (Very Light, Light, Moderate, Heavy, Very Heavy) describing expected agronomic and hydrological relevance, not rainfall totals
  • Volatility and coherence signals
  • Clear indication of when rainfall behaviour is reliable and sequenced versus fragmented or structurally unstable
  • Regional hydrological behaviour context
  • Insight into where timing risk, effectiveness, or regional divergence is rising, falling, or stable
  • Interpretive decision-support framing
  • Designed to inform planning posture for agriculture, water management, and climate risk—without prescribing actions

RainMAP™ does not provide:

  • Raw rainfall grids, station series, or downloadable time series
  • Quantitative rainfall amounts (mm), probabilities, or deterministic forecasts
  • Accuracy metrics, skill scores, or outcome validation results
  • Model outputs suitable for benchmarking or comparative validation
  • A public forecast service, alerts, or automated trigger systems
  • Inputs for training, calibrating, or validating other climate models

RainMAP™ Rainfall Confidence & Intensity

RainMAP™ expresses rainfall behaviour using qualitative intensity bands (e.g. light, moderate, heavy) paired with confidence levels that reflect internal signal coherence and stability. These descriptors are not quantitative rainfall amounts or forecasts and should be interpreted as guidance on timing relevance and planning posture rather than guaranteed outcomes.

Licensing Model

RainMAP™ is licensed as an interpretation layer.

  • Output-level intelligence only
  • No access to upstream signal engines, transforms, or reconstruction methods
  • Field-of-use restrictions apply
  • Non-exclusive by default
  • Licensed annually unless otherwise agreed

Permitted Use Cases

Typical licensed use cases include:

  • Seasonal planning posture (timing, exposure, operational sequencing)
  • Agronomy and farm advisory context (risk windows, volatility awareness, capital timing)
  • Water and land-use planning (hydrological stability context, regional divergence awareness)
  • Climate risk governance (board-level context, scenario posture, resilience planning)
  • Insurance, finance, and policy context where rainfall regime timing matters

Explicitly excluded uses include:

  • Operational weather forecasting or public forecast publication
  • Redistribution of RainMAP™ outputs outside the licensed organisation
  • Model validation, comparative benchmarking, or “forecast accuracy” marketing claims
  • Automated triggers, alerts, or decision automation without written approval

Access & Engagement Pathway

RainMAP™ access is available under licence by agreement.

Engagements begin with a scope discussion to confirm field-of-use alignment, governance requirements, and the intended decision context.
